Houston Chiropractor Dr. Bobbie Stowe believes in the restoration of health to the individual. In a phrase, West U Chiropractic and Dr. Stowe do not treat signs and symptoms of an individual’s conditions.  What we strive to do is assist the body to find health; we work to find and treat the underlying cause, the disease itself.  When someone is being treated for a symptom, many times that symptom will reoccur at some point in the future and often become worse.  Whereas, when the underlying cause of that symptom is diagnosed and treated, not only is the symptom relieved but now the reason for the symptom has been eliminated; thus restoring health to the body.

Further, Dr. Stowe doesn’t focus on just the symptom that an individual initially presents to him at the clinic.  Very often, after a complete history and physical examination, other health issues might arise that may or may not, be related to the symptoms the patient initially presented.  Only by focusing on the patient, and not the symptom, will other potential health issues emerge.  Then again, only by treating the individual as a whole person, and not just as a cold or a headache or a back ache, does the healing process begin and a whole new meaning of wellness emerges.

In addition, Dr. Stowe uses a variety of methods and techniques to accomplish his goal of restoring a patient’s health. Blood tests, x-rays, MRI’s, physical modalities, herbal supplementation, Graston, low level laser and manipulation are just some of the techniques he might use to assist the body to return to health.

Finally, Dr. Stowe realizes that his patient’s time is a valuable commodity; just as valuable as his time.  Therefore, he does not over-book or over-lap patient times.  A typical patient will walk right into his office and be seen immediately.  Some appointments take 20 minutes, while others might take 1.5 hours.  But regardless of time, Dr. Stowe is focused and driven to provide the best health care, and treat his patients as he would like to be treated himself.
